Pets Plus Picks
Adjustable Collars are perfect for a growing puppy plus they are super cute.. We recommend starting with a size 1-2 for new puppies.
We recommend starting with a standard 1 metre lead so you have control on a hyperactive puppy learning to walk on the lead. Why not get a matching lead and collar.
Our Bone Shaped I.D tags are the perfect size for a small puppy. We personalise them free of charge.
Food & Water Bowl:
We recommend a 2 in 1 food and water bowl for your dog. This bowl is not only cute but is slightly raised from the floor and you can remove the bowls and they are dishwasher safe.
Puppies love their sleep but they also love to chew. At Pets Plus we recommend vet bed that has no stuffing, it is super soft and washable.
Vet Bed is available in 2 different sizes and more colour options also available.
Waterproof Durable Dog Beds are also another great option. They have a removable cover and a tough exterior with a hidden zip.
Our Waterproof Dog Beds are available in various colours and three different sizes.
Canine Enrichment Toys:
Canine enrichment is very important for your dog. It keeps your puppy busy and their minds active. A destructive puppy is a bored puppy. We usually recommend stuffable dog toys, interactive dog toys, and teething toys.
The Puppy KONG dog toy is designed to meet the needs of a puppy’s 28-baby teeth, it helps teach appropriate chewing behaviuor while offering enrichment and satisfying a younger pup’s instinctual needs. A stuffed Puppy KONG occupies busy little ones while allowing pet parents the freedom to attend to their unique needs. Want to make crate training easier or extend play time? Be sure to stuff with puppy kibble and a dash of peanut butter. Add to the fun by including KONG Puppy Snacks and top with KONG Puppy Easy Treat.
The Ancol Bone Teething Puppy Toy is ideal for teething puppies. Its different textures soothe sore gums and cleanses the teeth.
Lickimats are the ideal are perfect for keeping your puppy busy. They can also help with separation anxiety in dogs. Moisten down their dog food and smear across the textured mat.
A complete balanced diet is very important for a growing puppy. Get the nutrition your puppy needs with ingredients they will love. We stock many different brands including our very own Pets Plus Puppy Food in various flavours tailored from small to large puppies. We also stock Royal Canin Puppy Food, Burns Puppy Food, Gain Puppy Food and more.
Every dog owner needs poo bags. We recommend biodegradable poo bags. Big, strong and degradable. Extra large and extra thick, they cater for almost all poop sizes and will break down once disposed of. Beco Bags have a recycled cardboard core and fit all standard bag dispensers.
Beaphar Puppy Training Pads are specially developed to help house train your puppy by encouraging him/her to relieve themselves in a place selected by you. They are perfect for night time when your puppy cannot hold their bladder for 8 hours.
Dog Crates can be very useful for housetraining your new puppy. They are also great when travelling with your puppy. The crate should be your puppies safe haven. We have different sizes available for all size puppies and dogs.
Training treats should always be kept on hand when training your puppy to reward wanted behaviours. We recommend low calorie, all natural puppy training treats.
Puppy Shampoo & Brush:
Keeping your puppy well groomed is important for your puppies health especially curly coated dogs that tend to matt easily. We recommend a mild puppy shampoo and a soft slicker brush for first puppies. The right brush varies for different coat types.
